The passing of Tim Russert caught me by surprise--both on account of its suddenness and the intensity of my reaction to it. NBC put together a moving tribute on yesterday's Meet the Press. It was poetic that the NBC tribute happened to fall on Father's Day. Here's the beautiful conclusion of the tribute, including a live version of "Thunder Road" dedicated by Bruce Springsteen to Tim Russert, who was evidently and friend and fan.
