This blogging fantasy has been driven by an urgency that I have begun to feel as I become increasingly aware of time slipping by. It's not so much an urgency to document my life, as it is an urgency to reflect and to engage, to make the most of this time that I have that already feels too short. And perhaps it's my increased engagement with the world as a husband, a father of two children, as an immigration lawyer that's nourishing this yearning for reflection and the consequent action.
When I see the heavens, the work of your hands,
the moon and the stars which you arranged,
what is man that you should keep him in mind,
mortal man that you care for him?
But the psalmist continues his praise marveling that the Lord has made people "little less than" gods. We are so small; yet we matter and what we do matters. I suppose that this blog is in part an effort to embrace the consequences of that fact.
